Distractions
A common question that we always ask is, “How do I know I’m on the right track?” The answer is a lot of things, but one answer that I feel isn’t talked about enough is that everything around you will encourage you to stay on task and try to completely DERAIL you at the same time. “Now why would the Universe send me distractions if I’m doing what I’m supposed to?” Because the universe wants to train and test your mind and spirit. Yes, I know, another test, dookie right? But Spirit has to see and know how badly you want what it is that you’re asking for. Spirit has to put distractions in your path to see if you have the required discipline to do what it is that you need to do. Everytime I set my mind on doing something that I know will benefit my spiritual growth I IMMEDIATELY get the urge to be on my phone and scroll through social media. There ain’t even shit new on there and I know this but I would just scroll anyways as if I’m missing out on stuff that I truly don’t care about. I had to address a lot of things such as why do I feel like I am missing out? What do I think I am missing out on? And why am I letting something like my phone distract me so easily when I know how bad it is for me to be on it so much? When I thought long and hard about it my spirit team said this,
Distractions and discipline go hand in hand. You wouldn’t have to increase your discipline if you didn’t have any distractions and nothing would be worth working for if there wasn’t anything in the way to push you to grow. Remember, you can’t always get what you desire when you’re the current person you are now. Great sacrifice comes with great reward. How much are you willing to give up to achieve your goals? I don’t necessarily mean physical things like giving up sleep. But are you willing to give up your pride, fears, and more? Your mind has to be stronger than the distractions around you and as you raise your frequency the distractions become greater and stronger. Don’t confuse this with self sabotage (cause that is a thing as well). But be aware that as you strive to raise your vibration there are things out there that are just as eager to lower your vibration as there are things out there helping you raise your vibration.
What are your distractions? And how do you intend to use them as fuel to increase your discipline?
